MONTERCHI AND THE MADONNA DEL PARTO
The village of Monterchi in Valtiberina is near Anghiari and can be reached from the Casentino on average within an hour by car. In addition to visiting this village of Medieval origin, it is possible to enjoy the beauty of the Madonna of Parturition: an extraordinary work by Piero della Francesca. We do not know when it was painted, but conceivably between 1455 and 1465.
