With its very high bell tower placed along the Strada Setteponti, The Parish Church of Santa Maria in Scò certainly cannot be unnoticed. This parish church is mentioned for the first time in a document of 1008, but its current structure dates back to the 12th century. This Romanesque church has curious peculiarities such as an uphill interior floor and a barometer column. To learn about these and other aspects of this church, visit this section.
Castelfranco di Sopra, which is a few minutes drive from Scò, is a very interesting town because it was a Terranuova of the Florentine Republic. The Abbey of Soffena is located outside the walls of this village of Medieval origin.
