The Pieve of San Pietro in Gropina near Loro Ciuffenna. This church has been declared a National Monument. Its current construction dates back to the 12th century, but the excavations carried out brought to light findings of an early Christian church built in this place in the 7th century. Something of great interest in the Parish Church of Gropina is a Lombard-style pulpit dating back to the 9th century. To know the history and many aspects of this church, visit this section. Pieve a Gropina is reachable from the Casentino via Talla and then via the Crocina Pass. It takes an hour on average.
