A ROAD TO ROME
The Vallesanta is crossed by an ancient road that came from the north-east of Italy and Germany and headed towards Rome. This road crosses the Apennines on the Serra Pass, and is known as Via Romea Germanica. It is very spectacular in the stretch: Bagno di Romagna - Serra - Corezzo (in the photo).
