THE MASTER OF VARLUNGO
This Virgin and Child Enthroned on board is attributed to the Master of Varlungo and it is datable to the late 13th century. It once belonged to the Romena parish church, now it is kept in the Propositura of Pratovecchio. This church is considered one of the most important places of art in Casentino because in addition to this artwork, many other valuable paintings of different periods are kept here.
